ARGENTINA PARTRIDGE HUNTING

STRETCH YOUR LEGS FOR THIS GREAT ARGENTINA PARTRIDGE HUNT AND A CHANGE OF PACE

15 species of Tinamou, or Perdiz, are found in Argentina. The most common is the Spotted Tinamou, a little larger than a Bob. Less common, but often taken, are the Colorado and Martineta, about the size of a Sharptail. Hunting is over pointing dogs in grasslands and pastures - typically two guns over a dog or dogs.

It's a great change of pace. There aren't any thorns or brush to contend with; but there aren't any excuses when you miss either! Huge European Hares are often taken as a bonus. Perdiz season is May, June & July only in most areas of the country.

Perdiz (partridge) hunts are normally an afternoon diversion combined with hunts for other species. They can easily be hunted out, so we don't put tremendous pressure on them. A 2-3 hour afternoon outing normally produces about 15 birds per gun.
